Horizontal Strainers
Horizontal Strainers - "Patented"
Graduated tapered hole pattern provides 100% pull down to line
of holes with no cavitation at 1,000 gpm. For Horizontal installations,
hole pattern 180 Degree. Allows use of ponds with 1 – 2 feet
less water. 4.2:1 Intake Ratio. Strainers available with fixed or
back flushing flap. 6" and 8" is molded to provide additional
backpressure for cleaning of holes. 1” hole provided in some
models for use with support clamps. See Support Clamps below:

Design Usage:
- Horizontal installation in ponds, lakes or streams.
Pull Down:
- 100% pulldown to the 1st horizontal line of holes.
Material:
- 6, 8 and 10" Schedule 40 PVC (straight pipe).
- 8" also available in steel at special request.
Lengths:
End Caps:
- 6 and 8" available with snap cap or molded swing up cap.
Swing up molded closed to provide back pressure to strainer holes.
Snap cap is removable.
- 10" (removable) fixed end caps bolted in place.
Hole Pattern:
- Patented "V" pattern with graduated hole diameters
provides 100% pull down. The only one on the market with this
feature.
