Suction Hose Strainers
Side Wall Strainers (NEW) For "thru the wall" dump tank use.
The Side Wall Strainer, the "Water Shark", eliminates several problems currently known with existing Low Level Strainers. The Water Shark increases the overall efficiency and flow of the system while providing free access around the outside of the dump tank.
Design Features
- Light weight powder coated Aluminum.
- Quick set-up, attaches in seconds using a custom design Cam Lever clamp band.
- Large 46" X 2 1/2" wide intake area provides a 4.4:1 strained intake ratio.
- Guide veins inside create 5 seperate intake zones.
- Large 8" check valve provides 100% flow for 6" suction and holds water in the hose during change over.
- Eliminates trapped air pockets noticable on current up and over hose designs.
- "U-shape" intake provides inlet of water on three sides (front bottom and back).
- Custom molded feet protect the liner from puncture and suspend the strainer 1/2 inch from the bottom of the liner.
- Side attachment eliminates jet wash issues. Also, allows easy walk access around the dump tank.
- Can be retrofitted to existing dump tanks in the field. Mounts to either Aluminum square frame or round steel frame.
Low Level Strainers - (For Dump Tank Use)
A choice of two great strainers. A lighter Sheet Metal strainer for ease of handling or a heavier Aluminum Cast strainer for rugged use. Less susceptible to cavitation caused from dump wash during tanker operations. Jets come standard, may be ordered without jet.

pumping capacity down to a water level of just 1½" with
no suction loss.
Suction turbulence will not affect this strainer. The Low-Flow is easily stored in a truck compartment. It can be pre-attached to hard suction hose.

Floating Strainer
The
Float Dock strainer is a valuable piece of equipment that can save
the day in many fire fighting situations. Float Dock lets you use
the water in farm ponds or streams, both shallow and deep, or with
drop tanks. Because it operates below scum and debris and above
sand and muck, it screens out the materials that wear out impellers,
packing and bearings. Since Float Dock strainers are self-leveling,
there are no whirlpools or suction loss. Each unit is fully guaranteed.
Heavy duty Polyethylene float. Aluminum removable Screen. Drafts at rated pump capacity in 5" of water. Self-leveling, no whirlpools or suction loss.

Accessory for Strainers
Light weight carrying rack can be mounted on a running board or inside a compartment. There are two sizes. Small is for 2½", and 3" Float Dock strainers and all Low-Flow strainers. Large is for 4", 4½", 5", and 6" Float Dock strainers only.
Barrel Strainer
Lightweight full capacity aluminum barrel strainers are ideal not only in fire fighting but in marine and naval applications as well.
